Find Information

This tool finds information from the layer that is highlighted in the layerlist. It will search that layers database and grab EVERY instance of whatever you type in the box. For instance, if you are searching the Roads layer and type in "monroe" it will show data for every road segment that has monroe in it, cross street, name, etc.

This tool works the best with the less information that you type in. If you can't find what you're looking for, then try typing in half of it.

If no data is found the window will say No Features found. Click on the Find tool to try again.

If features are found then a table will appear. To zoom into one of the found records, click on the number under the Rec column and in front of the record of choice. The first 25 records are shown. To view more you must click on "More Records" at the bottom of the table. You can also click on "Zoom to these records" if you wish to zoom to the extent of all the records in the current table.

Special Circumstances

When searching the roads database for names leave off words like: Road, Street, st, rd, ln, etc.
